Happy 4TH of July!!!!
1st Day of July, in my neighborhood that means fireworks and lots of them. Here in New Hampshire fireworks are legal, our motto is "Live Free or Die" and we hang our country's flag with pride. My son is one of those kids who drives a truck and this time of year drives around with a very large American flag in back. Of course he took the first one from my garden, needless to say, it was never the same. So as I write this, I'm gearing up for a big 4th of July party tomorrow, and embracing patriotism at its best. The fireworks display my neighbor puts on is larger than most surrounding towns. It begins with our national anthem with often a huge screen in a field displays friends, mothers, fathers, sons and daughters who are serving our country. Its quite touching, you can't help but feel patriotic and appreciative for those who have chosen to protect and serve so that we can be free to enjoy each day. At the end of the fireworks the song "proud to be an american" plays, and sends a chill up your spine, as everyone cheers before the darkness turns quiet. This year I was totally amazed as surrounding neighbors had fireworks going off all around us. It was just an amazing sight.
