Seasons Greetings!

I guess its not to early to say seasons greeting, I'm back from my quilt weekend and I loved every minute, lots of laughs, lots of quilts and lots more to do.  The farm had two newborn lambs, they were so precious.  I think I did more this year than last year, here's the break down.

This is wool applique I will be putting in an oval black frame

This I completed and is now ready for the quilting.

This I finished and quilted at home on my sewing machine. LOVE IT!

This was my Yankee Swap gift, filled with fabric and a pattern for Christmas stocking.

I made 6 little wool stockings to hang on the fireplace, I love em, I might make more to give as little gifts.  I want to make some mittens to go with them.

Now getting ready for the Christmas...
I have been looking for a colonial fireplace screen and came across this colonial Williamsburg one, its perfect!
Although I have MANY of these plates for every season, I couldn't leave this one in the store.

Quilt Weekend Soon

Time again to go Quilting at East Hill Farm soon, can't wait.  Spent the day today at the Quilters Gathering in Manchester NH.  Bought some great things and was inspired as usual.  I have so much quilting to get done before Christmas, it just never ends.  Since my kitty just past away I'm hoping the farm has some kittens I can pick up, kiss and hug. I need a kitty fix bad.

A few weekends ago I had guests from England visiting.  I think we learned allot from each other, it was interesting learning about their crafts.  We stopped at the Minds Eye Yarns in Cambridge, MA after picking them up from the airport on Saturday.  They are weavers and thought this would be a good place to start.  They gave me excellent advice on wool felting and showed me what to buy for it.  I bought the softest wool roving ever!  I couldn't wait to get home and start felting something cute.  This was my first attempt.  I'm not that hard to please and I was very happy with the little guy.   Thank you Julia and Louisa!

Gifts

Such a busy weekend sewing and working on gifts.  First one is a wedding gift. The only way I could get a good picture was to put it on my bed.  I quilted this on my friends longarm. Shes so good to me :)
Next is a fun quilt I made for my niece, shes having a boy and loves bright colors. This one I quilted on my own machine. I drew the monkey from one of the monkey's on the fabric. I think he's kinda cute.
My  wool project was NOT finished like I thought it was.  I looked at my pattern and realized i missed all the black accent on my pumpkin.  OK NOW hes ready for Halloween, and ready for his new home.
I'd say I had a GREAT weekend :)
